Adorn a Savoir bed with one of the world’s finest paintings from the prestigious National Gallery in London. In an exclusive collaboration, Savoir Beds and The National Gallery have joined forces to deliver an inspiring approach that takes art in interiors to another level. Housing over 2300 pieces of art dating from the mid-13th century to the 1900s, The National Gallery showcases paintings by the world’s greatest masters, including Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, Monet and Van Gogh. Now Savoir’s clients can create their own masterpiece to treasure. Working closely with our design and upholstery specialists, we can incorporate and customize any National Gallery owned painting. Once commissioned, the design is specially printed in the UK, by Andrew Martin, using the latest technology on a selection of three fabrics – lustrous velvet, textured linen viscose and versatile cotton. Finished with a bespoke plaque detailing the portrait and artist, every commission will be personally approved by The National Gallery to guarantee the design preserves the essence and integrity of one of the greatest art institutes in the world.
Savoir Beds are bespoke in terms of comfort and style to ensure that is both beautiful to look at and feels fabulous, all while delivering perfect sleep in a style that tailored to you. Each Savoir luxury bed set includes a box spring, mattress and topper, to create the world’s most luxurious and supportive sleeping system. Each Savoir No 1 bed takes time, 120 hours to be precise. This includes 80 hours from a master craftsman and all the work put in by a cutter, seamstress and joiner too. Each bed is made from the very best, natural, chemical-free, breathable materials to channel moisture away, helping to regulate body temperature all year round and improving the quality of REM sleep. Its frame of hardwood beech features, dovetail joints, Macassar ebony trim, suede upholstery and a flexible, hand-tied cane edge. The latter, combined with a generous 2” hair roll with two rows of hand-stitching, gives added structure and support to the edge. Meanwhile the mattress – topped with a panel of high-tech stretch cotton fabric – is filled with extra-deep, high-turn pocket springs, masses of loose, curled horse-tail hair and double layers of carded lamb’s wool. If sheer decadence is on your shopping list, you will appreciate the kilos of pure cashmere in the topper.
